Traditional Thai Yoga Bodywork

Traditional Thai Yoga Bodywork-- Nuad Boran is often called Thai Massage or "lazy man's yoga" because the practitioner is the one putting the client into passive yoga poses allowing the receiver to  go beyond what he or she normally can do with his or her yoga practice. This ancient energy-based healing technique from Thailand goes beyond massage. The well-being of the physical body is dependent on a balanced flow of vital energies through the major energy pathways, or sen-lines. This method is a preventative healing method and health maintenance treatment to allow one's body to reach and maintain optimum health. Treatments are given on a mat on the floor. No oils or lotions are used on the skin. The client wears comfortable clothes. There is a constant body contact between the practitioner and the client as the body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked in order to clear energy blockages, release tension & reduce dis-ease.  Thai Yoga Bodywork originates from the ancient Indian medical practice of Ayurveda. It was further developed in Thailand over 2,000 years ago.
The benefits of this therapy are:

    Herbal Compresses or Luk Pra Kob that contain herbs for detoxification, inflammation, and general well-being can be added to this session to enhance the relaxation and therapeutic benefits of the session! **Thai Yoga Therapy sessions are 90 minutes and 120 minutes long for a complete session.** Home visits available.

Formerly known as "Par-Thai".Whether you want a relaxing, restorative night out with your significant other or close friend enjoying learning basic Thai Yoga Bodywork techniques to a more active event learning partner yoga poses that range in difficulty from novice to advanced, this event is FUN, builds trust, let’s go of ego, reconnects the mind & body, and gets the endorphins moving!

Yoga Specialized

Yoga Specialized -- Is a personalized program involving hands on adjustments, coaching, and a DVD to improve your follow-through. It is designed to focus on one's particular dis-ease or movement restriction. You will be given a specific routine that you will learn and practice between 15 minutes and 60 minutes (your choice) at home for symptom relief.  Program is an 8 week program. Refresher classes available for nominal fee. Special programs include:

  • yoga for back injury and general pain reduction;
  • yoga for fibromyalgia and other auto-immune disorders;
  • yoga for  mobility issues of all ages;
  • yoga for gastro-intestinal discomfort,
  • Strength Training/ Yoga on the Ball (use of Swiss ball and exercise bands)
  • yoga for pregnancy
  • yoga for mental health such as addictions, depression, anxiety
  • yoga for smoking cessation

Programs can be designed for groups of people with same issues.

It is recommended to complete the program with regular practice at home establishing the practice as part of your daily regimen for the best, long-term results.

Yoga for Smoking Cessation

Yoga for Smoking Cessation comes from the Kriya Yoga tradition of cleanliness practices.  The practice believes that when our bodies and minds are clean and healthy they will naturally reject toxins that come in contact with our bodies repelling them and cleaning them out effectively and efficiently.   

Yogic methods to respond to addiction  address the interconnection between:

  • The biological addiction
  • The psychological addiction
  • The spiritual malaise that is a result of the continuation of an action that a person knows is harmful to self and loved ones.

This program is an 8 hour smoking cessation and craving reduction program designed to give you several methods of practice that one continues on his or her own until the desired effect is reached. This program is intended to cease the habit. These methods affect and balance the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous system to reducing cravings, anxiety, and anger promoting calmness, clearer thinking, and greater sense of well-being.

The methods taught are:

  • Visualization techniques
  • Setting intentions and Affirmations
  • Pranayama (breath control);
  • Meditation; 
  • Jala Neti (a cleansing process)
  • Pressure points  
  • Yoga postures
  • Life coaching on healthy lifestyle choices

Hypnotherapy, Life Coaching, and Nutritional Coaching are now included in this workshop increasing its efficacy based on historical evidence from the hypnotherapy practice.

Neti pot, saline solution, and instructional booklet included.

TRE: Trauma Release Exercises

1 on 1 sessions designed to teach David Bercellis revolutionary method of neurogenic release. The process evokes the body's natural homeostatic mechanism to tremor, thereby releasing any physical, mental, or emotional trauma caused by accidents, injury, surgery, the birthing process, etc. You will be given a descriptive brochure of TRE that includes the exercises illustrated. This process is designed to be implemented by oneself at home after 1 to a few sessions- when you feel comfortable with the process. Client is able to remain in the coaching process for as long as needed if one feels that he or she needs additional assistance with the releases. Encouraged is the use of licensed counselors for complete healing of emotional and mental health issues that may surface more easily after one uses the trauma release exercises process.

Corporate Yoga for Corporal Wellness

Program designed to be taught at your workplace as a 2 hour workshop for employees to take time and reduce or eliminate mental stress; increase positive thoughts which manifests as positive cell responses thus improving one's mental acuity and health; detoxify body, facilitate proper alignment and reduce joint problems; AND restore balance and general well-being.

Also: Mindfulness Expanding Experiential Exercises

Thes exercises designed to challenge the way we perceive ourselves, others, and address those very interpersonal relation dynamics that promote respect, compassion, creativity, new perspective, and thus- mindfulness in our interpersonal relations with others.

Laughter Yoga

Laughter Yoga- is a FUN therapeutic yoga technique to increase mental clarity, insight, and release anger, fear, pain, and stress. Cortisol levels decrease while endorphins (brain's natural pain killer) serotonin (brain's natural anti-depressant) and immune cells increase. Breathing techniques, simple yoga poses, and ego-ridding games combined to make this a unique yoga experience.

Awakening Your Recovery Yoga

Awakening Yoga— is a great series of stretches, poses, breathing and meditation techniques you can easily use at home to enhance your recovery success by 2.6 times! Designed to be taught as a series or at a recovery retreat.

12 Step Yoga aka Tibetan Heart Yoga

Tibetan Heart Yoga-- is the traditional yoga practice of the Tibetan monks— a form of Tonglen Yoga. It is a workshop for those who desire to deepen their prayer and meditation practice by sending out healing power to loved ones and all those who suffer, eliminating their suffering. It is only 30 to 45 minutes long to practice. The poses are simple and very yin. It is an intense spiritual experience. Can be incorporated into a retreat beautifully. 

Yoga for Athletes

Yoga for Athletes-- A performance enhancing program. It is designed to teach overall conditioning, strengthening, opening, and balancing muscle groups and movements specific to your game. The mental acuity developed through this program will take your game to anew level!!

Holistic Life Coaching

Holistic Life Coaching– Putting my 7 years experience as a addictions counselor and 10 years as a business consultant, I am offering compassionate coaching for those in recovery and those who wish to improve their overall health. Life coaching is like having your own cheerleader to talk to, a listening ear, and personal counsel. I will help you stay on task to reach your goals you have set out before you so that you can reap the abundance of the Universe that is there for you when you choose so! Assignments to help you along will be given and reviewed weekly.
